1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Autoburse (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Autoburse is a payment scheduling and orchestration platform that enables businesses to automate salary and wage payments. The Service facilitates payments through Paystack's payment infrastructure. Autoburse does not hold, store, or manage user funds at any point in the transaction process.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a resident of Nigeria or operate a business registered in Nigeria.
  • Complete identity verification (BVN) as required.
  • Have a valid bank account and payment method.

4. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of beneficiary information you provide.
  • Reviewing and confirming payments before they are processed.

5. Payment processing

All payments are processed through Paystack. By using the Service, you agree to Paystack's terms of service. Autoburse acts as a scheduling and orchestration layer — funds flow directly from your payment method through Paystack to beneficiary bank accounts.

You authorise Autoburse to initiate charges on your payment method for confirmed payments. You understand that once a payment is confirmed and processing has begun, it cannot be reversed through Autoburse.

6. Beneficiary subaccounts

By adding beneficiaries to the platform, you confirm that you have the authority to provide their bank account details and consent to the creation of Paystack subaccounts on their behalf for the purpose of receiving settlements.

7. Fees

Transaction fees are charged by Paystack for each processed payment. Fee details are displayed during the payment confirmation step before you authorise any charge. Autoburse reserves the right to introduce service fees with prior notice.

8. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Process payments for illegal activities.
  • Launder money or finance terrorism.
  • Provide false or misleading information.
  • Circumvent identity verification requirements.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

Autoburse is not liable for any delays, failures, or errors in payment processing caused by Paystack, banks, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect beneficiary information provided by you.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Pending payments will be cancelled upon account deletion.

11. Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
